Eerste indrukken van de iPhone 4
Afgelopen weekend was ik in London en wandelde vol verwachting de Apple Store binnen. Ik wist dat de iPhone 4 uitverkocht zou zijn, maar hoopte toch even met het toestel te kunnen spelen. Mijn lief volgde me op de voet en nam mijn eerste reacties op met de Sony NEX-5.
Mijn allereerste indruk? “Oh, toch niet zo mooi eigenlijk” Het toestel ligt niet slecht in de hand, maar echt wild werd ik er niet van. Ook het scherm straalde niet zoals in mijn hoopvolle dromen. Eigenlijk was het scherm van de Samsung Galaxy S een stuk indrukwekkender. Ik verliet de Apple-winkel dus een beetje teleurgesteld.
Komende vrijdag, 30 juli, lanceert Mobistar de iPhone 4 in België. Het is maar afwachten hoe dat dit jaar verloopt. Wellicht is er weer het ‘wel of niet’ spelletje met de wachtlijsten en verplichte abonnementen. Als je een iPhone 4 wilt deze week zal je er flink wat voor mogen rondbellen, vrees ik..Of in de rij gaan staan!

Funny you find the iphone 4 screen ‘small’ when using a BB 9700 isn’t it.
yes, it is :) I guess Im used to the Galaxy S
the smalness of the Bold s screen doesnt annoy me tho and the screen of the Iphone 4 did…weird…
On the BlackBerry you don’t actually use the screen for typing, nor is one or more fingers blocking the view for navigation.
Even though a BlackBerry screen is smaller, there’s more room to actually USE then on an iPhone.
Still, BlackBerries aren’t as much fun as my brand new Samsung Galaxy S :-)
Had al zo’n vermoeden eerlijk gezegd…Zie uberhaupt niet hoe een scherm nog strakker, feller en beter kan dan dat van de Galaxy S, maar ook dat zal wel weer lukken…
iPhone 4 inderdaad underwhelming, well said! Ik heb in de Galaxy S mijn uberphone gevonden, en jouw vid voorkomt ‘n stukje cognitieve dissonantie bij me…dank daarvoor!!! (-;

I beg to differ. Half of the BB surface is taken up by the keyboard. When you’re not using the keyboard (most of the time), the keyboard doesn’t disappear, it remains there. I find that a sheer waste of possible display real estate. When watching a movie or a picture, the BB screens remains tiny, whilst on the iphone, you can see all that full screen, the keyboard just isn’t there when you don’t need it. For me that outweighs the advantages of a hardware keyboard.
